Broadening the Focus: Unveiling the Framework

In the final issue brief of the “Broadening the Focus: Evaluating Health Care Programs” series, the Health Equity Committee unveils a holistic, principles-based framework for evaluating health care programs and benefits. Designed for use by actuaries and other stakeholders, the framework complements — rather than replaces — traditional financial metrics and evaluations and is intended to provide support to decisionmakers in their evaluations.
