Beyond the Basics: Navigating VM-22 in Practice

VM-22 is no longer on the horizon. It’s here, and the work of implementation is underway. The Academy’s VM-22 Practitioners Forum is designed for experienced actuaries who are past the introductory phase and ready to sharpen their understanding by connecting with peers navigating the same terrain.

The half-day forum features a series of small-group discussions, giving you the opportunity to engage deeply in the topics most relevant to your work. You’ll gain practical insights from industry leaders on implementing VM-22, learn how VM-22 impacts many aspects of valuation, and directly connect with experts.

Topics Include:

  • Asset selection
  • Adoption strategy
  • Capital and reinsurance
  • Governance and operations
  • Pricing & combination products

Starting immediately after the close of the SOA Valuation Actuary Meeting, the forum is an ideal complement for those already planning to be in Denver.

Under the U.S. Qualification Standards, an hour of continuing education is defined as 50 minutes, and fractions of an hour may be counted.
