ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
More than 24 million people enrolled in individual market coverage for the 2025 plan year. Changes in laws and regulations could significantly affect both enrollment and premiums for 2026. In addition, shifts in the individual market can have ripple effects on other public and private insurance markets, and vice versa.

Members of the Individual and Small Group Markets Committee of the American Academy of Actuaries’ Health Practice Council will provide insights into principles for ensuring access, affordability, consumer choice, and insurer competition in the individual market. They will also examine how current and proposed policy changes could affect market dynamics and discuss the factors likely to affect 2026 premiums. In particular, speakers will explore:

•             Strategies to achieve market stability in the individual health insurance market

•             The interconnectedness of health coverage sources

•             The 2026 premium rate development timeline

•             Key drivers of 2026 premium changes
