CE credit

The American Academy of Actuaries believes in good faith that this webcast, “An Update on the Qualification Standards,” constitutes an “organized activity” under the current Qualification Standards and constitutes a “professionalism topic” as defined therein.

Under the Qualification Standards, an hour of continuing education (CE) is defined as 50 minutes, and fractions of an hour may be counted.

Certificates for EAs

The Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries (JBEA) has approved the Academy as a qualifying sponsor of continuing education programs for enrolled actuaries.

If you are an enrolled actuary, the Academy believes in good faith that you may earn 1.8 CE core credits under the JBEA rules for attending this webcast. However, the JBEA ultimately determines what constitutes core and non-core continuing education and the number of CE credit hours allocated to same for enrolled actuaries.

If you have a question about an EA certificate, please contact Rita Winkel at the Academy (winkel@actuary.org, 202.223.8196). The Academy accepted EA certificate requests for this webcast until July 25, 2008.
