Academy Member-Selected Director Nominations
Academy members can make up to three nominations for member-selected directors with the form below. The Nominating Committee will consider all names submitted. The deadline for submissions is May 31, 2026.

As Board members, member-selected directors are relied upon to:
- Represent the Academy and fulfill the oversight role of the Board as committed members.
- Think strategically and analytically, and clearly articulate their thinking as they consider strategic priorities and direction for the Board.
- Understand the stakeholder landscape and possess the aptitude to engage and develop relationships with key stakeholder group members.
- Work collaboratively as a Board member within group decision-making and demonstrate an understanding of the fiduciary duties of loyalty, care, and obedience.
- Understand the differences between “oversight” and “supervision” while working to fulfill the Academy’s mission.
- Reinforce the Academy’s core values and apply effective decision making with emotional maturity, personal integrity, and honesty.
- Develop and demonstrate familiarity with the Board’s decision-making processes and practices as well as the substantive content of the subject area within which decisions and choices will have to be made, including practice-specific issues and topics.
