Academy Hill Visits Set for March 10 |
The policy summit will be held in conjunction with the Academy’s annual “Hill visits,” where Academy volunteer leaders will meet with congressional staff on Capitol Hill to discuss critical issues and how the actuarial perspective can be used to help address them. The visits, which will take place on March 10, will offer attendees insights into Congress’ 2026 priorities and offer opportunities for the Academy to consider future work and events to help policymakers as they evaluate various proposals and solutions to issues of shared interest. Volunteers will represent all practice areas: casualty, health, life, retirement, and risk management & financial reporting. Health Issue Brief—Beyond Financial Return on Investment | | | |

The Health Equity Committee released an issue brief, Beyond Financial Return on Investment, summarizing feedback from nonactuaries on alternative metrics to traditional financial return on investment (ROI) calculations, as well as expanded evaluation considerations. This is the second issue brief in the Broadening the Focus series—the first addressed general perspectives on ROI.
