The Academy is presenting a briefing to policymakers and regulators on July 12 on the current challenges facing the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the actuarial implications of these challenges. Speakers will give a presentation on the historical evolution of the NFIP and discuss reform options that could help address the program’s long-term financial soundness.
