About the Speaker

Thomas S. Terry, MAAA, FSA, FCA, EA; currently serves as president of the American Academy of Actuaries. Tom began his professional career at Towers Perrin in 1975. In 1991, he founded CCA Strategies which, at the time of its acquisition by J.P. Morgan in 2006, had 200 employees, including 100 actuaries. Tom retired from J.P. Morgan in 2010 and founded TTerry Consulting which consults to organizations on employee benefits, compensation and governance. Tom has consulted extensively in retirement plan design and financing for several of the largest corporations in the US. He is a frequent speaker and writer on related topics.Tom has held leadership roles in various actuarial organizations. He is a past president of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and a former Vice President for Pensions at the American Academy of Actuaries.
