ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
The annual Medicare Trustees Report is the primary source of information on the financial status of the Medicare program, reflecting the valued expertise and contributions of federal actuaries who prepare and provide additional analyses. The chairperson from the Academy’s Medicare Committee will summarize and provide insights on this year’s trustees report findings. Next, invited panelists will discuss various current and future regulatory and congressional factors impacting the program. Time will be allotted for audience Q&A.

In particular, speakers will explore:

  • Prior authorization in both traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage (MA)
  • Risk adjustment/performance measurement in MA
  • Participation in Advanced Alternative Payment Models (AAPMs)
  • Aligning traditional Medicare accountable payment programs

SPEAKERS

  • Carrie Graham Ph.D.; Research Professor and the Director of the Medicare Policy Initiative, Georgetown Center on Health Insurance Reform (CHIR)
  • Frank McStay, MPA; Assistant Research Director, Medicare Accountable Care Transformation, Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy
