2016 Annual Meeting CE Information
The Academy’s 2016 Annual Meeting and Public Policy Forum
Continuing Education Information
The Academy’s Annual Meeting and Public Policy Forum is an excellent way to remain current with the latest public policy and professionalism developments affecting the practice, while meeting your continuing education (CE) requirements and networking with your colleagues.
Attendees can earn organized activity CE credits, depending upon your area of practice, and professionalism CE credits. The Academy believes this year’s agenda will enable attendees to earn up to 12 hours of organized-activity continuing education credits, depending on area of practice, and up to 1.8 hours of professionalism CE credits.
Last year, attendees earned up to 13.6 hours of CE, of which up to 4.2 hours could be applied to the professionalism requirement, and up to 1.5 could count as business CE credits.
For more information on qualifications and CE requirements, please visit the U.S. Qualification Standards homepage.
EA CPE Credits at Annual Meeting and Public Policy Forum
The Academy believes in good faith that you may earn 1.8 continuing professional education (CPE) credits for “non-core subject matter” under the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries (JBEA) rules for each of the Pension Breakout Sessions at the Annual Meeting and Public Policy Forum, for a total of 5.4 “non-core” CPE credits for attending all three sessions. The JBEA makes the final determination about what constitutes core, non-core, ethics, or non-ethics CPE and the number of CPE credit hours allocated.
