Actuarial Continuing Education Information
This forum is an excellent way to remain current with the latest issues and activities affecting actuaries, while meeting your continuing education requirements and networking with your colleagues. The American Academy of Actuaries believes in good faith that you may earn up to 12.2 organized activity continuing education credits, depending upon your area of practice, including 1.5 professionalism CE credits, by attending the entire Annual Meeting and Public Policy Forum. Remember that, in addition to satisfying this year’s CE requirements, you may also roll over excess CE credit to help complete next year’s requirements.
Credentialed actuaries from any of the five U.S.-based actuarial organizations issuing statements of actuarial opinions (SAOs) in the United States are required to complete at least thirty (30) CE hours of “relevant continuing education” each calendar year. At least three hours must be on professionalism topics and at least six hours must be from “organized activities” as defined in the U.S. Qualification Standards.
