Natural Catastrophe Subcommittee

This subcommittee identifies issues relevant to the treatment of natural disasters (low frequency, high-severity events that could generate extremely large property/casualty losses) such as insurability, pricing, funding, reserving, capital management, and loss mitigation. Included in the subcommittee's charge is the monitoring of federal and state catastrophe legislation and interaction with the NAIC and NCOIL on these issues.
