Free Webinar With FIO, NSF Covers Cyber/Terrorism Issues; Part Two Next Tuesday, July 16
The Academy hosted a webinar Tuesday moderated by President Lisa Slotznick and held in conjunction with the Federal Insurance Office (FIO) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), the first of two free webinars in a series. Update on Proposed Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRC) on Terrorism and Catastrophic Cyber Insurance featured FIO Director Steven Seitz; FIO Senior Insurance Regulatory Policy Analyst Chanda Brady; and NSF IUCRC Program Director Mohan Kumar. Next Week-Health Webinar to Examine 2025 Premium Drivers
Members of the Individual and Small Group Markets Committee will present in next week’s webinar, Drivers of 2025 Health Insurance Premium Changes. Chairperson Jason Karcher will moderate the discussion, in which presenters will explore factors including the resumption of Medicaid eligibility; the shift of small groups from fully insured plans to other funding arrangements; and inflation. “Exploring a World of Risk” is the theme for Envision Tomorrow, the Academy’s annual meeting to be held at the Grand Hyatt Washington on Oct. 15 and 16. Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Gen. Wesley Clark will give the opening keynote address on leadership, global risks, and the U.S. political landscape, and financial and insurance inclusion researcher Leroy Nunery II will lead a discussion on “Growing Financial Inclusion.”
