Academy Shares Resources on Key Issues for Presidential Debate
During last week’s debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, the Academy shared resources on social media from the Election 2024: Issues Clearinghouse, ranging from Social Security to climate change. Post-debate media coverage included a MarketWatch/Dow Jones story on the candidates’ statements on Social Security that cited analysis from an Academy issue brief on immigration and Social Security.
Uccello Reappointed to CBO Health Advisers Panel
Senior Health Fellow Cori Uccello was reappointed to the U.S. Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) Panel of Health Advisers for the coming year. The panel consists of widely recognized experts in health policy and the health sector, representing academics, industry, and consumer perspectives, and helps CBO understand cutting-edge research and the latest real-world developments in health care delivery and financing. With the insights and expertise of advisers like Uccello, the CBO is better positioned to offer Congress nonpartisan, objective support in the federal budget process.
