‘ERISA at 50’ Stakeholder Symposium Being Held June 4
The Academy will host a stakeholder symposium and reception, Looking Back, Moving Forward: ERISA at 50, on June 4 in Washington, D.C. Part of the Academy’s ERISA at 50 series, the event features a dynamic lineup of speakers who will focus on the current state and future prospects in the retirement landscape as we reflect on anniversary of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). Webinars Cover Medicare, Social Security Trustees’ Reports
In an effort to bring light to the important issue of public programs’ sustainability, the Academy hosted free webinars on the annual Medicare and Social Security trustees’ reports, which were released earlier this month. Slides and audio for both will be available soon, and look for recordings on the Academy’s YouTube page .
Social Security—Social Security Administration Chief Actuary Stephen Goss and Deputy Chief Actuary Karen Glenn presented in Wednesday’s Social Security webinar, moderated by Academy Social Security Committee Chairperson Sam Gutterman.
Medicare—Paul Spitalnic, chief actuary with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and Michael Chernew, chair of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), presented in the Medicare webinar on Thursday, moderated by Academy Senior Health Fellow Cori Uccello.
