The Academy’s mission is to serve the public and the U.S. actuarial profession. My service on the Board will allow me to:
help ensure that the Academy continues to provide well thought-out advice and counsel to the public and to decision-makers in public policy areas where actuarial analysis can help inform the debate. My background is most useful in casualty issues, such as the National Flood Insurance Program, but I recognize the critical importance of our work in other areas, such as Social Security. I will strive to assure that the Academy continues to be viewed as a go-to source of objective information for the public good.
