American Academy of Actuaries members volunteer their time, talent and expertise to help represent the U.S. actuarial profession throughout the broad scope of work of the International Actuarial Association. Academy members serve on IAA committees and attend the twice-yearly meetings of the IAA Council to ensure the U.S. voice is represented on international actuarial issues, policies and standards.
