The Academy is pleased to announce that the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries (JBEA) has again approved the Academy as a qualifying sponsor of continuing professional education (CPE) programs for enrolled actuaries. The JBEA reviews each applicant’s status as a qualifying sponsor, and we continue to be approved for the current enrollment cycle, which runs from Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2026.

Look out for announcements about webinars that note “JBEA CPE CREDIT” for these CPE opportunities, which we carefully assess to decide whether they meet JBEA requirements. Not all professionalism (or other Academy-sponsored webinars) will provide JBEA credit opportunities.

The JBEA announced March 13, 2024, that it “is retroactively extending the temporary waiver of its physical presence requirement for continuing professional education (CPE) programs and is proposing regulations to eliminate this in-person requirement altogether.” Read the JBEA news release.
