Individuals can participate by:
- Donating your used consumer electronics through individual donation and mailing.
- Joining with your friends and family if they have any items to donate.
- Encouraging colleagues to consider donating.
While we will accept other phones and items, the items with the most upcycle value currently are:
- iPhones: 6, 6S, 7, 7S, & 8
- Samsung Galaxy: S6, S7, S8 & S8 Plus, Galaxy Note
- LG: G6, V30, & V20
- Motorola: E4, G5, & Z2 Play
Companies can participate too, by:
- Retiring corporate electronic equipment through the program.
- Hosting office drives to collect used consumer electronics from staff.
- Establishing a corporate equipment donations program to support TAF.
Security and data destruction with customizable and accountable measures can be established for company compliance requirements.

Items that have upcycle value include consumer electronics, six years old or newer, including:
- Laptops and PCs— Core 2 duo and newer
- All Apple products
- Smartphones
- Tablets
- e-Readers
- GoPro
- Digital cameras
- Digital video cameras
- Beats headphones
- Gaming consoles—All consoles in good working condition from the original Atari and Nintendo consoles to the latest models qualify for upcycling. Please include associated video games and manuals.
Corporate electronic equipment with upcycle value also include all of the above and most telecommunications equipment, switches, routers, printers, audio/video/conferencing equipment, and more.
