To help actuaries better understand continuing education requirements, the Academy has updated the infographic “What CE Requirements Apply to Me?” to align with the recently revised U.S. Qualification Standards that took effect Jan. 1.

The March Actuarial Update covers the Actuarial Standards Board (ASB) and Actuarial Board for Counseling and Discipline (ABCD) annual reports, the Health Practice Council’s (HPC) annual “Hill Visits” with federal lawmakers and policymakers, a leadership forum held in conjunction with Women’s History Month with the presidents of the five U.S. actuarial organizations—all women—and previews an upcoming HPC webinar on hospital prices and transparency and ASB webinars on revised actuarial standards of practice.

Academy Health Practice Council (HPC) Vice Chairperson, Barb Klever, provided an update on HPC activities to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Health Actuarial (B) Task Force during the Virtual 2022 Spring National Meeting.
