Casualty Quarterly, Spring 2019
The spring Casualty Quarterly has a Q&A with Mary D. Miller, past Academy president and a former chief actuary of the state of Ohio, on the Academy’s continued engagement with the NAIC regarding the definition of “qualified actuary.” Also in this issue: New Academy Senior P/C Fellow Rich Gibson presented at several events in late March; and recent state and federal legislative and regulatory activity.

Academy Responds In Writing To Congressional Subcommittee’s Questions On Multiemployer Plans
The Academy responded in writing to questions from the House Subcommittee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions as a follow-up to the panel’s March 7 hearing, “The Cost of Inaction: Why Congress Must Address the Multiemployer Pension Crisis,” at which Josh Shapiro, the Academy’s vice president, pension, testified.
