ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Join the Academy for the first of three webinars that will provide discussion around components of the recently exposed practice note “Application of ASU 2018-12 to the Accounting for Long-Duration Contracts under U.S. GAAP.” This practice note was developed by the Long-Duration Contracts Work Group of the Financial Reporting Committee of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Each of the three webinars will cover different portions of the white paper, with the first webinar covering:
- Level of aggregation;
- Discount rate assumptions; and
- Limited-payment contracts.
Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters. This webinar will last for a total of 90 minutes.

The lead registrant must be an Academy member. You will receive one computer connection (link) to the webinar that will allow you to broadcast the live event to your remote attendees, who must be members of the same company, using a platform (Zoom, WebEx etc.) of your company’s choosing. Audio is streamed via the web.
Within one business day of the webinar, the lead registrant is responsible for submitting a list of attendees, using this template created for the event, to webinargroups@actuary.org. Failure to submit this list will result in no longer being able to register your group for future webinars.
