ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected health care spending in numerous ways, due to declines in health care utilization, supplemental federal spending for health care providers and for public health emergency actions and shifts in health care coverage. There is uncertainty moving forward regarding how COVID-19 will continue to affect the health system. In addition, there are questions about long COVID, including how it might affect people’s health and health spending.
Join a conversation with experts about these topics to gain an understanding of how COVID-19 has affected national health spending and how it is projected to affect spending in the near term. During this webinar, panelists will provide an overview of newly released national health expenditure projections, with a focus on the effects of COVID-19 on the projections. They will also discuss long COVID, including what is currently known and not known about its prevalence and risks. There will be time for questions and answers from the audience.
