ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Hospital prices can vary dramatically within and across geographic areas and payers. New hospital transparency rules aim to make it easier for consumers to shop and compare prices. During this virtual briefing and webinar, experts on these topics provided an overview of hospital price variation, the new transparency rules, and whether and how price transparency will affect price variation, health care utilization, and health insurance premiums. The discussion included information from Implications of Hospital Price Transparency on Hospital Prices and Price Variation, a recently released issue brief from the American Academy of Actuaries' Health Care Delivery Committee which explores this topic in depth.
