Henry Siegel

Siegel has 40 years of actuarial experience. Currently he is the vice president of New York Life Insurance Co.’s Office of the Chief Actuary, a position he has held since 2002. In this role Siegel oversees the company’s Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) reserves, the internal audit of the company’s actuarial functions, and coordinates the company’s response to international accounting proposals. Before that, he spent nine years in the company’s mergers and acquisitions department. Siegel’s career began in 1968 with Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, where he was employed in various roles for 25 years. Siegel is a graduate of Cornell University, where he studied mathematics.
