Dear Don,
I would like to thank you, both personally and on behalf of the American Academy of Actuaries, for helping us celebrate the Academy’s 50th anniversary. It was a pleasure to see you at our annual meeting last month.
The certificate and donation to the Actuarial Foundation you presented to the Academy on behalf of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries is a beautiful token of the history of service to the actuarial profession that our organizations share. Thank you again for that thoughtful gesture.
I celebrate the role the Conference plays for consulting actuaries in our profession. It’s a different role than that played by the Academy, but one that is equally vital to the health of the profession.
I look forward to this coming year with great optimism. The Conference is in good hands under your leadership, and I look forward to working with you for the betterment of the profession.
Sincerely,

Tom Wildsmith
