American Academy of Actuaries Honors Ronald Gresch with Robert J. Myers Public Service Award

WASHINGTON – The American Academy of Actuaries honored Ronald Gresch, MAAA, ASA, senior health actuary at Office of Personnel Management (OPM), with the 2014 Robert J. Myers Public Service Award during a ceremony held tonight at the organization’s Annual Meeting and Public Policy Forum.
“It is my pleasure to announce that in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the public good through his more than 30 years of public service, the 20th recipient of the Myers Award is OPM’s chief health actuary, Ronald Gresch,” said Academy President Tom Terry. “Ron is recognized for his excellent management, negotiation, and analytical skills, and hailed by others as a highly regarded source of information throughout the agency. He has been commended for effective communication to the executive and legislative branches regarding benefit and insurance programs upon which millions of public employees rely. And he is recognized as an outstanding mentor to junior actuaries within OPM.”
The Academy’s Committee on Actuarial Public Service established the Robert J. Myers Award for Public Service in 1994. The award is named after Bob Myers, to honor his lifelong commitment to public service.
