WASHINGTON, D.C. – American Academy of Actuaries President Mary D. Miller said she was delighted to learn that Tom Terry, the Academy’s immediate past president, will be nominated to serve as president-elect of the International Actuarial Association for the year 2016 and as president in 2017.
“Tom demonstrated the highest degree of professionalism and efficacy as president of the Academy in 2014,” said Miller. “His long experience and broad knowledge of the opportunities and challenges facing the profession not just in the U.S. but also on a global scale will make him an extremely valuable asset to the IAA, just as he has been and continues to be to the Academy and the U.S. profession. He would be an excellent IAA president.”
