Nominate Academy Member-Selected Directors

Nominations will be accepted beginning Friday, April 18, for Academy member-selected directors, who will serve three-year terms on the Academy’s Board of Directors. Nominations are due by Monday, May 19. The Nominating Committee will meet soon to identify new candidates in accordance with Nominating Committee Guidelines criteria. Member-selected director candidates will be selected by Academy members later in 2025 in an online selection process from the slate of candidates presented by the Nominating Committee.

Nominating Committee Guidelines

The Nominating Committee strives each year to nominate actuaries who contribute to the Board’s overall balance by specialty, business affiliation, employer, and additional attributes, as laid out in § II of the Nominating Committee Guidelines.

Following the Board's election of slate of officers at its annual meeting in October 2024 and the selection by Academy members in September 2024 of the slate of member-selected directors presented to them by the Nominating Committee, the distribution of Board members for the 2024-2025 year is as follows:

*The Academy’s secretary-treasurer can serve for three consecutive one-year terms. This is Ben Slutsker’s second year as secretary-treasurer of a possible three.
