SPEAKER HIGHLIGHT

Roy Woodall was appointed by the president to the Financial Stability Oversight Council in May 2011 and has a particular focus on insurance. Previously, Woodall served as General Counsel and Insurance Commissioner of Kentucky and consulted with a variety of institutions including the U.S. House of Representatives and the Office of Financial Institutions Policy at the U.S. Treasury.

Speaker Roy Woodall will serve as a panelist in a roundtable discussion examining significant issues of international insurance, financial supervision, and standard setting, as well as how developments in these areas might affect U.S. systems and practices. Other topics that will be discussed include systemically important financial institutions, ComFrame, the IASB insurance contracts project, IAIS’ international capital standards, and much more.
