Academy Seeks Candidates for Senior Pension Fellow
The Academy is seeking a new senior pension fellow to advance the Academy's work on behalf of the profession and the public on issues relating to retirement income security.
The senior pension fellow will be responsible for connecting personally with external stakeholders (policymakers, media, government officials, think tanks, academics, FASB/GASB, and other opinion leaders) on issues of concern to the public and to the profession.
Other responsibilities include:
- Providing testimony to Congress and to the executive branch.
- Acting as the primary drafter of public statements and other work products.
- Briefing news media and engaging in on-the-record interviews.
- Making public presentations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key Congressional and White House staff.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key members of the media.
Candidates must be a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary.
