Orange bullet VOLUNTEER SURVEY

Dear Academy member,

If you have not already done so and you are interested in working with Academy committees, task forces, working groups and/or publications, please be sure to visit the Academy website and respond to the volunteer survey before it ends on July 8, 2009.

We would like to hear from everyone who may be interested in serving: currently active Academy volunteers, former volunteers, and those who have never played a volunteer role at the Academy. The vigor of the Academy's work depends on the involvement of members, and as we look ahead, your input can help the Academy better prepare to meet the numerous challenges and opportunities facing our profession.

Completing the volunteer survey is quick and easy. Log into the Academy website, then click on the "Take the volunteer survey" link near the top of the page. On the survey form, you will see an expandable list of Academy committees and task forces that are seeking volunteers and you will find places to indicate where your interests lie. Over the next few months, Academy officers and chairs will then work with your responses, supplemented with direct dialog with individual members, to place as many members as we can on the current or future committees and projects etc. that match the members' expressed interests.

If you have already taken the survey, thanks.

As always, you are welcome to contact me. I would be pleased to hear from you.

Sincerely,

John Parks
