An Academy Capitol Hill briefing on Social Security reform was held Jan. 18. The informative briefing, "Social Security Reform: Annuitization of Individual Accounts and the Report of the Bush Commission" featured Bruce Schobel, chairperson of the Academy's Social Insurance Committee, and Steve Goss, a member of the committee and Social Security's chief actuary.
Much of the briefing focused on a recent Social Insurance Committee issue brief, "Annuitization of Social Security Individual Accounts."
