Social Security basics were the focus of a one-hour Capitol Hill briefing the Academy held April 3, 2006, in the House Rayburn building. The topics included:

  • The structure of the Social Security system
  • Calculating benefits under the current system
  • Benefit taxation and replacement ratios

The briefing also featured a preview of the Academy’s newly redesigned Social Security Game.
