Congressional staffers received a timely primer on insurance regulation April 12 at an Academy briefing on Capitol Hill. Pat Teufel, the Academy's vice president for financial reporting, moderated the briefing, which was organized by the Academy's Financial Reporting Council. The featured speakers were Bob Anker, the Academy's president-elect, and Julia Philips, a state insurance regulator and an Academy member.
