This timely Hill briefing offered an understanding on the various provisions that influence the actuarial viability of healthcare reform proposals.

The briefing began with a short introductory presentation outlining the components of healthcare reform, followed by an interactive Q&A session with our panel of actuarial experts.

Topics included:

  • Do you understand how all the various provisions affect adverse selection, and why mitigating adverse selection is a critical component of ensuring actuarially viable reform?
  • When considering a public plan option, what do you need to know in order to ensure a level playing field with private plans?
