Genetic Testing: What You Need to Know

At an Academy-sponsored Capitol Hill briefing, actuarial experts warn that Congress should move very carefully as it considers proposals that aim to prevent genetic discrimination. A major concern: unintended consequences. "Science is changing daily with respect to genetics," cautions Cecil Bykerk, one of the speakers at the briefing.
